# Philanthropic Foundations
ReLocalize Creativity has broad goals. To reach these goals we must connect neighborhoods to philanthropy in a very new and very powerful way. We aim to create an RenDanHeYi style "Industry Platform" to align philanthropic foundations with local creative capabilities and capacities. The result will be enhanced success of member foundations and participating neighborhood development actions.

# RC Context: (Background of Understanding)
* Foundations have significant resources to **invest in local neighborhoods**
* Neighborhoods have a difficult time creating **sustainable development** when the external funding ceases.
* Foundations do not have a robust method for **increasing the success** of their investments in neighborhoods.
* Foundations do not have an efficient way of locating **proven development capability** across neighborhoods.
We are focused on local development through civil society--at grassroots level. We believe that there is massive unrealized capacity for self organizing and **effective local development**. We believe that the key missing supports include: 1) Support for **small scale development** that in aggregate create massive **network effects** on the wellbeing and economies of locales. 2) A matching function for such locales and non-risk averse **investors**. 3) A way to support **rampant innovation** through early support combined with fair and rational withdrawal of support (when committments cannot be kept in the face of significant support) . Thus limiting losses while diversifying investments.
# RC CUSTOMER SCENARIO: (Value to be delivered to end customers)
A few selected forward thinking **philanthropic foundations** will form a pilot Industry Platform to increase the productivity of investments in neighborhood resilience and regeneration.
A few **neighborhood development centers** will use RenDanHeYi self-organizing principles, methods, and tools. In this way the Philanthropy Investment Platform will have the best chance of achieving the philanthropic broad goals.
ReLocalize Creativity will partner with **Boundaryless**, and Italian company that supports transitions to RenDanHeYi style organizing. The goal is a wholesale transition of current philanthropic funding toward one inspired by the global successes and methods of RenDanHeYi.
**ReLocalize Creativity** brings a wealth of experience with facilitated strategy development, commitment-based operations in a complex business setting, and grassroots community development.
ReLocalize Creativity becomes proficient in **Training and supporting** participating foundations and community development centers in RenDanHeYi principles, methods, and tools.
**There are a core set of principles that guide RenDanHeYi enterprises.**
* No space between the customer and the entrepreneur.
* Autonomy for entrepreneurship (no hierarchy).
* All relationships are customer <-> supplier relationships. (None are hierarchical.)
* All participants succeed and fail together.
* Boundaries between potential participants are very porous.
* Contracts reduce misunderstanding and ongoing renegotiations allow adaption to changing situations.

# RC Value Sharing by Participant by Stage:
Anyone of the parties and anyone else may use the learning and the open source tools from the pilot. All under community commons 4.0 license.
The participating foundations will provide a substance pay for all participants, based upon time on tasks.
The participating foundations will provide capital and operating expensed for the pilots for the duration of the pilot, with the option to extend support based upon successes achieved.
All parties will participate in learning and review sessions during and for six months after the conclusion of the pilot.
It this goes on to become an active Industry Platform, the parties to this pilot will be rewarded over the next five years (fair payment to be determined).
**Create a spreadsheet with estimations of time and costs for all anticipated effort.**
# RC Pilot Support Services (Microsystems)
Boundaryless will provide guidance on RenDanHeYi philosophy, methods, and toos throughout the pilot.
# Startup RC Pilot Investment (Industry Platform)
We are piloting the development of an industry platform. So the participating foundations will act in this capacity.
